    Build a persona

    Assemble a caller identity your tests can borrow

    Steps

    1. Open Personas under Data Management

      The Items count is how many attributes a persona carries. A persona with one item can answer exactly one question about itself, which is usually not enough for a flow that asks the caller to identify themselves.

    2. Name the persona and describe them

    3. Land in the attribute picker

      Each card shows the key, the value and the dataset it came from. The persona does not copy the value — it points at the dataset item, so updating the dataset updates every persona using it.

    4. Filter by the dataset you want

    5. Click attributes to include them

      Clicking a card in the Included pane, or its cross, sends it back. Nothing is deleted from the dataset either way; you are only choosing what this persona carries.

    6. Save

    7. Find it back on the list

      Confusingly, the persona editor also has a field called "Caller Persona" — that one is the free-text character note, not the persona itself.

    8. Use it in a test

      Standard, parameterised and mission tests all draw on the same list. For a mission test the profile is required, so building the persona first saves a detour mid-wizard.
